WhatsApp Will No Longer Work On These Phones

The most popular instant messaging app, WhatsApp, has announced the support for some devices will be stooped. In their statement, it was made known that they will no longer develop for Apple iPhones running iOS 7 and below. On the other hand, phones running Android version 2.3.7 and below too will be discontinued. All these will take effect from February 1, 2019.

Before iOS 7 and Android 2.3.7 is discontinued, the Faceboom owned company has already stopped supporting all Nokia S40 series which include devices such as Nokia Asha 201, Nokia Asha 205, Nokia Asha 210, Nokia Asha 230, Nokia Asha 500, Nokia Asha 501, Nokia Asha 502, Nokia Asha 503, Nokia 206, Nokia 208, Nokia 301, Nokia 515.

Posting on their website, WhatsApp stated that “For the following operating systems, you can no longer create new accounts. However, you’ll be able to continue using WhatsApp on Nokia S40 until December 31, 2018.”
